Ofgem, the National Regulatory Authority of Great Britain, has today published this open letter on trends in balancing costs in 2021. This follows a year of high prices in the market, including in the Balancing Market. The letter stresses the need for correct dynamic parameters, and activity that complies with REMIT, the Grid Code and the Transmission Constraint Licencing Condition (TCLC).
