Latest REMIT Quarterly – Singapore MAS reporting date announced

ACER has today issued the latest version of the REMIT Quarterly newsletter, which can be found here. In addition to the “usual” statistics, the newsletter summarises the changes proposed by DG FISMA to the REMIT Level 1 text (see here) and has a detailed article about the topic of capacity hoarding. Several other useful summaries are also provided.

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has issued details of changes to the derivatives reporting regime in effect. These follow a consultation last year and are similar to those being implemented under EMIR REFIT in the EU and UK (see here and here) as well as other regions, for example moving to the use of ISO 20022. The rules will take effect in October 2024, at a similar time to when they take effect in Australia. The response to the consultation and further documents can be found here.
