Reports have appeared here on the Romania Insider website that large fines have been considered in Romania by ANRE, the NRA, for market manipulation. Shortly after the article was published, this article was published on The Diplomat Bucharest web site with reactions from some of the named firms.

Separately from this, a case against Iberdrola that resulted in a fine in 2015 and which led to further action, has resulted in an acquittal for the company and four managers there. The announcement from the court can be found here. This case resulted in one of the first REMIT fines in 2015 for activity in 2013 (see here).
