The UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has updated their “Regulatory Initiatives Grid”, which can be found here . It includes a revised date for a consultation on EMIR REFIT, now to run this quarter, with a policy statement due in the summer of 2022(page 43). This is an update on the date in a previous version of the grid (see here).
There is also an entry on page 43 relating to the recently closed Wholesale Markets Review run by the UK government (see here). It announces follow up consultations in 2022 in conjunction with policy statements to follow from the government.
The UK versions of EMIR, MIFID II and other regulations are now run separately from the EU. The EU side will see a major change to EMIR reporting (see here) as well as the MIFID II “quick fix” (see here) over the coming years.
