ACER updates LNG market data reporting documentation

ACER has today updated the guidance on the reporting of LNG market data. This is data that relates to LNG transactions and in some cases orders, which must be reported by 6pm CET on the date where it occurs. The data is used to calculate a daily price assessment and benchmark (see here).

LNG data reporting started as a separate regulation following the crisis of 2022 and is currently reported via the TERMINAL system. It was merged into REMIT II. Reporting will eventually be performed via a Registered Reporting Mechanism (RRM) as part of the changes to be specified upon adoption of the REMIT II Implementing Regulation (see here). The updated version of the document can be found here.

The publication accompanies a call for members of a new LNG price assessment and benchmark expert group (see here)
