Both ACER and the UK’s FCA have recently issued newsletters:
ACER has issued the latest REMIT “quarterly” document, which can be found here. It summarises the various announcements relating to REMIT over the past few months, as well as the contents of the recent public forum held in Ljubljana. It also shows the rate of new cases for investigation reducing with a higher close rate from ACER. At the same time, the number of queries is reducing as well. This may be an indication that REMIT is “bedding down” with less “false positive” investigations.
The FCA have published a monthly “regulation roundup” which can be found here. It covers several issues relating to MiFID II including position limits and the use of LEIs. We can expect more news on these topics over the coming weeks. The FCA recently updated their position limits (see here).
