See here for a post on LinkedIn by Chris Dingley of Abide Financial on the issues that could arise when reporting data as part of on venue reporting, due to start on 7th October. The issues mentioned merit serious consideration.
While some of these have been examined before, the proximity of the reporting deadline should throw some into sharp relief. For example readiness of a specific OMP or RRM may be of concern if relying on one that has not been involved in trade reporting before. There is also a mention of examining the true cost of a solution, rather than just looking at upfront cost.
As the clock ticks, all of these issues need to be considered and actioned at the earliest opportunity.
