HM Treasury has published the response to the consultation that they ran in 2015 regarding the transposition of MiFID II into UK law. The results of the consultation can be found here and the proposed regulations can be found here, with all documents accessible from here.

The response covers several topics including position limits and their application, which start on page 11 of the response. They are linked with the FCA’s second consultation on MiFID II (see here) which deals with the topic. The consultation also looks at other topics such as the set up of OTFs, the ability to offer services from third countries, and unauthorised persons.
