FCA Q+A on MiFID II Commodity Derivatives

The UK’s Financial Conduct Authority has issued a Questions and Answers document covering the parts of MiFID II relating to commodity derivatives. It can be found here. It covers several topics including the Ancillary Activity test, Position Limits and Position Reporting. Last week, the first position limits were announced by ESMA, having been set by France’s AMF on agricultural contracts traded on the MATIF exchange (see here).

The credit practice ultimately became part of Sirius Solutions, where he was the Managing Director of Europe. He has also held management roles at KWI and Iris Financial, among other organizations. Mr. Handler holds a degree in computer science from Imperial College, University of London.
