ACER published a 3rd “Open letter on REMIT data quality” on Friday, which can be found here. The previous such letter was published just over a year ago (see here). The document addresses specific issues that occur when Market Participants and others fulfil their REMIT reporting requirements.
Some points to note in the letter include:
- Acceptance of records by an Registered Reporting Mechanism (RRM) is not sufficient proof of data quality (page 3).
- If data is reported wrongly, the correct course of action is to tell the RRM, who should tell ACER (page 3).
- There will be dedicated guidance on life cycle events (page 6).
- Attention is drawn to late reports (page 8).
