Trayport have released a white paper, on the generation, communication and matching of Unique Trade Identifiers under EMIR. 

The issue of UTI handling under EMIR is a difficult one, especially for bilateral trades not conducted on a platform. The white paper outlines Trayport’s approach and their solution using the Complete system, which is part of Trayport’s trade reporting solution.The solution does not require both parties to be Complete users in order to use it for UTI handling.
