FCA MiFID II implementation timetable published

The Financial Conduct Authority(FCA) have released an update on their plans to pass MiFID II into law, which can be found here.

A discussion paper is due in March relating to certain issues. However the main events happen later in the year with the planned running of a consultation on the final rules, due for December. This will lead to the final changes to the handbook being published by 3 July 2016.

There is clearly a great deal to do in a relatively short space of time both for regulators and for those caught by the rules.
