The CNMC (Spanish National Regulatory Authority) announced that they have fined a market participant 1 million euros for “marking the close” on the MIBGAS Organised Market Place in Q4 2022. This is alleged to have happened over 32 sessions where in general the behaviour was to submit bids in the last few seconds of trading just below the best bid.
